Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are expanding our professional services team in Kathmandu and are seeking experienced and detail-oriented individuals for the position of Senior Tax Officer to manage tax compliance and advisory assignments, ensure adherence to tax laws, and support effective tax planning. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality tax services while minimizing tax risks and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review UK individual (Self Assessment) and corporate tax returns.
Assist with tax computations, allowances, reliefs, and capital gains calculations.
Conduct tax technical research and ensure compliance with HMRC standards.
Review work of junior tax staff and provide guidance for improvements.
Liaise with UK clients and managers to resolve tax queries and support advisory projects.

ACCA/ATT/CTA part-qualified or qualified candidates encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of UK tax experience (practice experience preferred).
Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and HMRC processes.
Experience with UK tax software (e.g., TaxCalc, CCH, Digita) is an advantage.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate tax concepts clearly.
