GCI is seeking to recruit a professionally competent and committed to quality work in research and deadlines, self-motivated and independent in handling the relevant tasks, and enthusiastic candidate for the position of Senior Research Officer (SRO). 

Candidates applying for the SRO position must have all necessary knowledge, skills, understanding, and ability to conduct the academic and business research works and market surveys, prepare business development plans, and process primary as well as secondary data by using the latest statistical software so as to extract and interpret the results scientifically with accuracy. 

Required Qualifications and Experiences

• Master of Business Administration preferably with specialization in marketing research, research methodology, thesis writing, etc.
• Priority will be given to research degree holder such as Ph.D., or M. Phil, or Masters by Research 
• Sound theoretical knowledge and experience of handling research projects and report writing
• Knowledge and skills of collecting, analyzing, and computing primary and secondary data 
• Knowledge and skills of operating statistical software for data analysis 
• Knowledge and experience in mixed methods research and research design
• Knowledge and skills of data interpretation for strategic decisions and policy making purpose 
• Knowledge and experience in qualitative research to understand and interpret legal, political, socio-economic, cultural, behavioral, technological, and international environment 
• Knowledge and skills of article publication in the international standards journals 

Skills and Abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate successfully with a wide range of people and society
• Fluency in English language, and excellent analytical and report writing skills
• Experience in information management and data collection methods
• Knowledge to analyze quantitative and qualitative data storage packages
• Skill in literature review, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and technical writing 
• Flexible to working hours and ability to work in a team
• Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Statistical Software, etc.)
• Strong presentation and networking skills
• Willingness and ability to travel on a frequent basis which may include overnight and weekends.
• Ability to work on own initiative and under minimal supervision, to accept responsibility and to respond with confidence to complex and evolving problems 

Accountability and Reporting: The SRO will be reporting to the Head of Research Department and will be accountable to the Principal and CEO of the college.
