Job Description

Nepal-based EPC company is developing various solar PV rooftop projects. The Renewable Energy Engineer will be based in the office of EPC company. The role will be based on the office of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Company (EPC).

Educational qualifications: At least Masters in the field of engineering 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in solar energy-related work
  • Must have designed solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop systems

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • The responsibilities specified below are related to solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop systems:
  • Design and supervision of solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop systems (solar array layout, energy modelling, bill of quantity preparation etc.).
  • Preparation and review of detailed feasibility reports and engineering drawings.
  • Ensure technical compliance with the government and development partner.
  • Travel to the project sites and supervise the installations ensuring that the systems are implemented as per design.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of each site.
  • Prepare and review project completion reports.

Skills required (must have):

  • Proficient with solar PV design software, such as PVSyst.
  • Knowledge of energy audit tools (such as power analyser)
  • Proficient in the use of CAD and 3D modelling software (for example, AutoCAD, Google Sketchup)
