Senior Purchase Officer

Reporting To: Plant Manager / Procurement Head

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the procurement of goods, materials, and services for Janaki Factory, ensuring cost-effective and timely sourcing from reliable vendors while maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in industrial purchasing and vendor development, with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute all purchasing activities related to raw materials, machinery parts, consumables, and services.
• Source and develop a robust supplier base locally and internationally to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to optimize costs while ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct regular vendor evaluations and audits to assess quality, reliability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with production, inventory, quality, and finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and material availability to make proactive purchasing decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement best practices, and compliance with regulatory standards.
