Job Description

Reporting To: Plant Manager / Procurement Head

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the procurement of goods, materials, and services for Janaki Factory, ensuring cost-effective and timely sourcing from reliable vendors while maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in industrial purchasing and vendor development, with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and execute all purchasing activities related to raw materials, machinery parts, consumables, and services.
Source and develop a robust supplier base locally and internationally to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to optimize costs while ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct regular vendor evaluations and audits to assess quality, reliability, and compliance.
Collaborate with production, inventory, quality, and finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and material availability to make proactive purchasing decisions.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery timelines.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement best practices, and compliance with regulatory standards.
