About the job

Khalti is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with more than 3 (three) years of experience in related fields. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is proficient in the requirements listed below, which are currently implemented in Khalti’s infrastructure, and can contribute to future improvements in these technologies.

Requirements:

Solid background in data center network administration and architecture.
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP )
Solid understanding of DCI, VXLAN and GRE to connect multisite infrastructures.
Solid understanding of technologies such as VRRP, MLAG and VPC.
Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, EXOS).
Hands on experience with a variety of firewalls, UTM, VSYS/VDOM,
Current certifications in networking technologies like Fortinet, Cisco or Juniper will be preferred.
Ability to automate network configuration of Cisco IOS, EXOS and JUNOS, with a preference for Ansible.
Solid understanding of VPN technologies.
Experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) and web vulnerabilities.
Familiarity with network analysis tools and being able to troubleshoot network issues.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and XEN and storage virtualization
Ability to promptly respond to incidents, conduct thorough root cause analysis(RCA), and effectively communicate findings and resolutions with the team.
Experience with network monitoring and logging tools, with a preference for ELK and Prometheus/Grafana stack.
Experience in working with open source project
CCNA/CCNP, JUNCIA/JUNCIP, NSE4 certifications are advantageous.

Experience:

Professional Experience: More than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Project Experience:

Having Worked in a company with a large customer base and high traffic workloads.
Experience in managing hybrid infrastructure.

Soft Skills:

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
