You will be designing and developing the core backend and frontend software modules that integrate with multiple BigData open source technologies. You will be responsible for both reviewing and writing code that is clean, readable, well-documented, and performant. Integration of front-end and backend will need to be done via secure, well-defined APIs. You will also be responsible for writing test suites including unit and scale-out tests. We strongly value your experience in understanding and customising open source technologies. 

Skills and Experience:

Backend:

• 3-5 years of experience in writing Python code in production systems. 
• Deep understanding and experience in using Django and/or Flask frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the threading limitations of Python and multi-process architecture
• Experience in developing and deploying production solutions in the cloud.  
• Experience in designing, writing, and consuming REST APIs. 
• Experience in integrating databases (SQL / Postgres / etc.)

DevOps:

• Experience with Kubernetes / Docker
• Building CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of how SSO, OAuth, and IAM work
• Expertise in using Git for code collaboration
• Data Engineering (plus points if you have this):
• Familiarity with Data Engineering tools such as AirByte, Magento, DBT, AirFlow, and Superset . 
• Experience with data warehouse / lakehouse technologies such as Trino/Presto, Iceberg/Delta Lake etc. 

Front end:

• Development experience of using Reach/Angular frameworks
• Experience with MVC frameworks 
• Preferred: experience in developing mobile apps, responsive UI/UX, or Progressive Web Apps. 

Education: 

• Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science/Engineering from top ranked universities and preferably with a high GPA.
