Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Associate for one of our clients to oversee the overall company’s and its group companies’ financial reporting and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall financial reporting of the company’s operations and overseeing transactions with related parties. This is a key role that ensures compliance, transparency, and effective financial management within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Provide comprehensive financial analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure timely reporting of financial data to management and stakeholders.
  2. Transaction Management:
    • Oversee and verify all transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
    • Monitor and manage transactions with related parties, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Develop, manage, and monitor budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Prepare forecasts and variance analysis to provide insights into financial trends.
  4. Taxation & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all local tax laws and regulations, including VAT, TDS, and Income Tax.
    • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
    • Prepare and file all required tax returns on time.
  5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
    • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to existing financial processes and systems.
  6. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field/
    • ACCA Qualified/
    • Semi-Qualified Chartered Account (ICAI Preferred)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
    • Prior experience with related party transactions and financial reporting is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Tigg, Xero, or similar platforms).
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial modeling.
    • Strong understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
