Job Description

Reporting To: Senior Manager - QEHS 
Nationality: Nepali

Major Job Duties:

  • Prioritize to achieve compliance with all applicable Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality related Statutory .
  • Ensure proactive reporting i.e., unsafe acts/unsafe conditions/near misses reporting (at plants, corporate offices & depots) through i-safe portal or hard copy to meet the safety promises with focusing on Find It Fix Modality (FIFI).
  • To fulfill the set promise i.e. Total recordable frequency rate (TRFR) & Total severity rate (TSR) at company level.
  • Ensure Safety audit completion as per Internal Safety audit checklist or non-statutory safety Inspection (NSSI) Checklist and report all noncompliance points for the review process.
  • Ensure the mock drill, trainings or leaning session shall be done with depot team during visit. Hence, coordination with logistic supervisor is must before scheduling the audit.
  • To ensure the compliance of the EHS training calendar within the agreed timeline& coordinate with department to conduct training and TBT on defined schedule and maintain the record of training and TBT.
  • Focus on achieving sustainability promises like Sp. Hazardous waste (SHW) (will be primary responsibility) & Sp. Water consumption -Non process (SWC), Sp. Effluent Generation (SEG) (this will be Secondary responsibility
  • Ensure no legal compliance in EHS related statutory requirements. Update the legal status in polestar as per timeline, Knowledge about local acts, regulations and standards, Maintain and record all the legal compliance as per legal register
  • Ensure no major noncompliance in IMS internal and external audit. All gaps shall be closed within committed timeline from own department or respective department.
