Language: Communication fluently in English Language


Job Description

SMEC-Nepal invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates, who are reliable, accountable, have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity for the following position(s):

The position is based on Site, with periodical visits to Kathmandu or elsewhere as required, including overseas for FAT/Inspections etc.  Responsibilities are detailed below and relate to all Electrical works associated with RGHEP, Contractors, Rasuwagadhi Hydroelectric Company (RGHPCL) and, where necessary those other Contractors/entities associated with RGHEP. They include, but are not limited to:

Review of Engineering & Design

  • Review of design   drawings and technical   documents submitted by the Contractors. Analyses the adequacy of such designs, and advice for approval or any changes, which are felt necessary as per Contract requirements.

Supervision of Construction Activities

  • Monitor and, where required, supervise construction activities to ensure the works are being carried out in accordance with the respective Contracts, the quality of workmanship and the materials in Ali works conform to the Contract requirements and Specifications.

Plans & Manuals

  • Ensure all requisite Contract documents are provided, including Quality, Commissioning and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals for RGHPCL operation of RGHEP.

Commissioning

  • Liaise    with   RGHPCL when   establishing    the   overall   requirements   for   Project commissioning, including coordinate testing and commissioning programmes.

Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals

  • Check and review the detailed   O&M Manuals,   to ensure their completeness and compliance with the Contract requirements.
