Cedar Gate Services is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. The Senior Security Engineer will play a critical role in protecting our organization's digital assets and ensuring the integrity and security of our IT infrastructure. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer should have a strong background in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of security protocols and best practices, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with the manager of Security and Compliance to manage internal and external audits, vulnerability, network, and code testing
• Coordinate and assist in SOC 2 Type 2 audits, HITRUST CSF audits, and follow standards to maintain frameworks
• Continuously improve security and compliance processes and practices
• Manage authorization of procedures
• Manage compliance violations
• Prepare and conduct mock security tests
• Conduct meetings with associated stakeholders to suggest or follow up on security-related matters
• Work with the HR and Learning & Development team to collaborate in HR and training programs
• Perform other security and compliance-related duties as necessary

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
• Capacity to work well in groups
• Strong knowledge of security standards
• Experience with Linux system (RedHat is preferred) and Windows Server Operating System
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail
• Should have sound knowledge of a scripting language (Python is preferred)
  
• Current security certifications of CEH, Security+, Network+, PenTest+, CISSP, or higher
