Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Senior Chemist is responsible for conducting chemical analysis and quality testing of raw materials, raw meal, clinker, cement, and other related samples to ensure consistent product quality, process control, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Department: Quality Control / Laboratory
Reporting To: QC Head / Laboratory In-Charge

Key Responsibilities

Sampling & Testing

Collect and analyze samples of limestone, additive materials, raw meal, clinker, cement and fuels.
Perform routine and special laboratory tests using various cement testing procedures.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

Quality Control & Assurance

Monitor raw mix design parameters and maintain quality consistency.
Support optimization of kiln feed, clinker quality, and cement properties.
Ensure product meets internal standards and relevant national standards (NS/BIS/IS).

Process Support

Provide timely test results to CCR/Production team for process control decisions.
Assist in troubleshooting quality deviations.
Support quality improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain lab records, test sheets, calibration logs, and daily MIS reports.
Ensure proper documentation as per ISO and quality management standards.
Prepare shift and daily test reports.

Equipment Handling & Safety

Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
Ensure periodic calibration and upkeep of lab tools.
Follow Health, Safety & Environmental standards and maintain a clean lab environment.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
2–5 years’ experience in cement industry laboratory preferred (Freshers with strong knowledge may also be considered as GET)

Note:

According to the company policy Factory employee will get semi furnished Accommodation however Food will be chargeable if taken in Mess/ Canteen. If they want to cook they can.
As it in factory so employees have to work in shift as required. Other facilities according to the organization policy.
