Job Description

  • Responsible for knowing and overseeing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department - AR, AP, Stores including purchasing and distribution
  • Utilize teamwork to develop departmental synergy
  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of inventory controls and cost controls
  • Responsible for monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare financial statements and other reports and distributes the same including costs center reports
  • Responsible with annual budgets – prepares all allocations
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly reports
  • Preparation of the monthly statutory accounts
  • Responsible for all tax obligations, both Company and employees;  income tax, VAT, etc
  • Support the Organization’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.
  • Work with both the internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all data input into the hotels computerized management system
  • Report, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information
  • Preparation of schedules and reconciliations needed to ensure that financial systems are in balance
  • Assist in the development, documentation, implementation and improvement of financial policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all of the duties and responsibilities according to the standards and position descriptions of the accounting department are fulfilled by the department staff
  • Ensure compliance with SOP’s and policies; and with all applicable laws
  • Assist other departments to make sure they are following the guidelines established by internal policies by visually observing work and work procedures in a timely manner.
  • Monitor compliance with organization procedures
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
