Reports To: General Manager / Directors

About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to lead and manage the finance and accounting operations of our hospitality business. The Senior Accountant will lead end-to-end finance and accounting operations across all outlets and the corporate office. The role requires strong technical expertise in accounting systems (particularly Tally ERP), leadership capability, and the ability to generate financial insights that support operational efficiency and business growth within a hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Operations

Oversee and manage full-cycle accounting operations for all business units.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in Tally ERP.
Maintain general ledger, chart of accounts, and books of accounts.
Monitor daily sales reconciliation from POS systems across outlets.
Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions.
Perform regular bank reconciliations and vendor account reconciliations.

2. Team Leadership & Supervision

Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounts team.
Allocate responsibilities and ensure timely task completion.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
Establish a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate MIS and management reports for decision-making.
Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow positions.
Analyze revenue streams and cost structures outlet-wise.
Provide actionable financial insights to management.

4. Compliance & Taxation

Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.
Prepare and submit statutory returns within deadlines.
Manage payroll processing including SSF, PF, and TDS compliance.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

5. Hospitality-Specific Accounting

Monitor outlet-wise financial performance and profitability.
Conduct POS reconciliation and daily sales audits.
Manage inventory accounting and food & beverage costing.
Track wastage, shrinkage, and cost control measures.

6. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

Design and implement internal financial controls and SOPs.
Identify inefficiencies and improve accounting processes.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with operations, procurement, and HR teams.
Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Provide financial guidance to non-finance departments.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (mandatory). Master’s degree or professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA – preferred).
5–10 years of relevant experience with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
Prior experience in hospitality, F&B, or multi-outlet business is preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Tally ERP (mandatory).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (reporting, analysis, dashboards).
Strong knowledge of Nepalese taxation and accounting standards.
Familiarity with POS/PMS systems is an advantage.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
