Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial data entry, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards. The role will involve close coordination with operations, branch offices, and vendors/customers to maintain proper financial discipline in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and supporting schedules.
Post entries into the ERP/accounting system and ensure timely closing of books.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Prepare customer invoices and ensure timely collection.
Reconcile customer and vendor accounts on a regular basis.
Process vendor bills and ensure timely payments after verification.
Track receivables and prepare aging analysis for follow-ups.

3. Bank & Cash Management

Prepare bank reconciliations and cash book statements.
Monitor daily cash flow and report to Senior Accountant/CFO.
Ensure proper documentation of petty cash transactions.

4. Compliance & Reporting

Assist in tax calculations, VAT/TDS filings, and regulatory compliance.
Prepare supporting documents for audits and inspections.
Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly management reports.

5. Coordination & Support

Coordinate with branch offices for the timely submission of expense claims, revenue data, and supporting documents.
Support the finance team in budgeting and cost control.
Assist the Senior Accountant and CFO in ad hoc financial tasks and projects.
