Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

1. Strategic Financial Management:

Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy to support business growth and profitability.
Partner with the CEO and other senior executives in shaping long-term business strategies.
Ensure the financial plan aligns with the company’s overall goals, objectives, and market conditions.

2. Financial Planning and Analysis:

Oversee the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Analyze financial performance and identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and profitability enhancement.
Lead the financial planning process and ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial reports.

3. Cash Flow and Liquidity Management:

Manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
Implement strategies to optimize working capital and cash management.
Monitor cash reserves, debt levels, and financial obligations, making recommendations to maintain financial health.

4. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and senior management.
Oversee compliance with accounting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS) and financial regulations.
Supervise audits and tax filings to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

5. Risk Management:

Identify financial and operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Assess and manage insurance, tax, and investment risks, providing recommendations for hedging and financial protection.

6. Investor Relations and Funding:

Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
Lead fundraising efforts, including debt and equity financing, or strategic partnerships.
Communicate the financial performance and strategic initiatives of the company to shareholders and investors.

7. Leadership and Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, including accountants, analysts, and other financial professionals.
Establish clear financial goals, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the finance department.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the finance team.

8. Corporate Governance:

Ensure corporate governance standards are adhered to, including financial reporting, audits, and compliance processes.
Advise the board of directors on financial matters, ensuring transparency and accountability in decision-making.
Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.

9. Cost Management and Operational Efficiency:

Oversee cost control processes across departments, ensuring operational efficiencies and profitability.
Provide financial oversight on capital expenditures and other strategic investments.
Implement best practices in financial management and reporting to improve the company's financial performance.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

CA completed or Masters (MBA/MBS) with more than or equal to 5 years’ experience in related field
Fluency in English, Nepali, Hindi Spoken
Sound knowledge of A/C Software like Swastik, Tally, VAT filing, Income tax Provision and accounting standard
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management and across organization with excellent communication and peer leadership ability
High initiative and self-motivated , ability to work independently
Sound Knowledge about audit and preparation of Audit Report
