Job Overview:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the financial and tax-related services of various client organizations based in Australia.

Responsibilities:

1.    Bookkeeping and Accounting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable on a regular basis.
• Generate financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 

2.    Tax Return Preparation:

• Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for the organisation.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with external tax consultants and authorities as needed.

3.    Financial Advisory:

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to guide financial planning.
• Offer guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and overall financial efficiency.

4.    Compliance and Regulation:

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Monitor financial legislation and regulations changes and communicate their impact to the relevant stakeholders.

5.    Collaboration:

• Work closely with the client and other team members to gather financial information and provide support.

Qualifications:

• Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN / ICAI)
• Professional Accounting designation (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
