Holy Vision Secondary School (HVSS) was founded in 2049 B.S. as a Primary School by the approval of the District Education Office, Kathmandu. After two years in function, the Higher Secondary Education Board granted affiliation to run + 2 wing in 2051 B.S. in Science, Management and Humanities streams. Since then it has emerged as a brand for quality education under the name of HOLY VISION SECONDARY SCHOOL (HVSS). When all the private schools were offered the choice to opt either for profit driven company or not-for-profit trust, Holy Vision Secondary School opted to function as a private trust.

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to teach students at the secondary level (Grades 8 to 10). The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a student-centered teaching approach that inspires students to develop critical thinking, creativity, and a love for language and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school guidelines.
Teach English language and literature, including grammar, writing, reading comprehension, listening, speaking, and critical analysis.
Develop lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials tailored to students' diverse needs.
Assess, evaluate, and report on student performance and progress regularly.
Maintain a positive learning environment through effective classroom management.
Encourage active participation and discussion to build students' language confidence.
Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and digital tools to enhance learning.
Collaborate with colleagues, academic coordinators, and administration on curriculum development, interdisciplinary activities, and co-curricular programs.
Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher interactions.
Supervise students during school hours and at school events as needed.
