Job Description

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons for middle school students, incorporating hands-on activities, experiments, and demonstrations to enhance learning experiences.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation, collaboration, and respect among students.
  • Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
  • Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians to support academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate science with other subject areas.
  • Incorporate technology into instruction effectively, utilizing educational software, multimedia resources, and interactive tools to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of current research, pedagogical practices, and curriculum developments in the field of science education.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, committees, and school events.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to safety protocols, student behavior management, and academic integrity.
