Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and motivated candidate to join our team as a Science Teacher. As a member of our dynamic and innovative educational institution, the Science Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of our students and preparing them for their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons for Grades 8 to 10.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for the SEE (Secondary Education Examination) by covering the required syllabus effectively.
  • Develop and implement hands-on experiments, practical demonstrations, and project- based learning activities.
  • Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and examinations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare and maintain lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment records.

2. Classroom Management

  • Create a positive and disciplined classroom environment that promotes active learning.
  • Encourage student participation and address diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction.
  • Maintain order and ensure adherence to school rules and regulations.

3. Student Development

  • Monitor and guide students academically, emotionally, and behaviorally.
  • Provide extra academic support to students who require additional help in Science.
  • Conduct remedial and enrichment classes as needed, especially for the SEE batch.
  • Encourage scientific curiosity and critical thinking skills among students.

4. Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design and administer quizzes, assignments, and examinations to assess student progress.
  • Analyze students’ performance and report progress to the Academic Head and parents.
  • Assist in setting up and grading internal assessments and SEE preparatory exams.

5. Curriculum & Instructional Enhancement

  • Work collaboratively with the academic team to develop and refine the science curriculum.
  • Integrate innovative teaching methodologies, including the use of digital tools and interactive resources.
  • Keep updated with modern scientific trends and incorporate them into lessons.

6. School & Extra-Curricular Involvement

  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and workshops.
  • Guide students in science-related extracurricular activities, competitions, and exhibitions.
  • Support and mentor students for national-level science fairs and Olympiads.

7. Professional Development

  • Attend teacher training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
  • Continuously update knowledge in the field of science education and pedagogy.
