The role of a Sales, Marketing, and Client Relationship Manager in a software company focusing on international expansion, including the Nepalese market and transitioning to a SaaS model:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape in both international markets and the Nepalese market.
- Sales Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives for SaaS adoption and market penetration.
- Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels such as inbound marketing, outbound calls, networking, and partnerships.
- Sales Pitch: Present the software solution to potential clients, conduct product demonstrations, and handle objections effectively.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients to close sales deals.
Marketing Strategy and Campaigns:
- Brand Promotion: Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and promote the HR software solution in target markets.
- Digital Marketing: Utilize digital channels (social media, email marketing, SEO, PPC) to drive traffic, generate leads, and support sales efforts.
- Content Creation: Create compelling content (blogs, whitepapers, case studies) that educates potential clients and showcases the software’s benefits.
- Events and Webinars: Plan and organize industry events, webinars, and conferences to engage with prospects and demonstrate thought leadership.
Client Relationship Management:
- Customer Success: Ensure successful onboarding of clients, manage post-sales relationships, and support ongoing client needs.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maximizing client satisfaction.
- Upselling and Cross-selling: Identify opportunities to upsell additional features or services to existing clients, increasing revenue and client retention.
- Feedback Collection: Gather client feedback to inform product development, marketing strategies, and customer service improvements.
International Market Expansion:
- Market Entry Strategy: Develop entry strategies tailored to international markets, considering cultural, regulatory, and competitive factors.
- Localization: Adapt marketing materials, product messaging, and sales strategies to resonate with the Nepalese market and other international markets.
- Partnerships and Alliances: Establish partnerships and alliances with local businesses, resellers, or distributors to expand market reach and accelerate growth.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local regulations in Nepal), and industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications in sales or marketing are advantageous.
Experience:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in sales and marketing roles within the software industry, preferably with experience in HR software or SaaS solutions.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and expanding into new markets.
- Experience in managing client relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that meet those needs.
