The footwear industries lunched in the mid-1970s was the first and core business of Universal Group. Operate under the name of Modern Slipper Industries Pvt. Ltd & Kiran Shoes Manufacturers. Since its inception, the group has established itself as the biggest footwear producing group in Nepal. In 1990, we launched a mid-priced, value for money brand called GOLDSTAR to service more price conscious markets. GOLDSTAR is a robust brand made with genuine materials and modern technology. GOLDSTAR is now sold in all over Nepal & India and gradually it is gaining popularity western countries too. Next off the production line was Hawaii Slippers called HATHI, introduced in early eighties and now widely available throughout the country. This pioneer brand is admired over three decades. Various ranges of EVA sandals and Hawaii slippers made under this brand. "Hathi Balio Ki Hathi Chap Chappal"​ -is a very famous slogan among the users of this brand. Hathi slippers and sandals are recognized throughout the country for its style and durability.

Job Description

An Area Sales Officer is an executive that focuses on the best way to entice customers and other businesses to buy our products. A keen sense of the market and an understanding of sales strategies is essential to being successful in this position. Area Sales Officers often oversee other people as they work together to meet income projections for an organization. The duties will include but not limit to:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with all distributors
  • Identifying potential customers (Distributors) for new business
  • Gathering market and customer information (Wholesaler) and passing it to Area Sales Managers
  • Providing feedback to Area Sales manager on future buying trends in his/her given area
  • Representing the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations in your area as and when instructed by ASMs
  • Discussing now and then regarding variations in price, delivery and specifications about the product with his/her Area Sales Manager
  • Give Feedback to Area Sales Manager on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions as per your area
  • Liaising with Area Sales Manager to check on the progress of existing orders of Distributors/ Wholesalers
  • Checking fast moving and slow-moving stock of your Distributors and W/S on every visit and send the data to Area Sales manager
  • Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the Area Sales Manager
  • Take responsibility for any customer complaints / issues & resolve them at earliest possible
  • Perform credit checks on customers to ensure outstanding balance within limits before accepting an order
  • Following and maintaining the account settlement of distributors as per company policy
  • Maintaining and making sure that more than 80% availability of product is in the retail and W/S chain
  • Coordinate with dealer for requirement of LC opening and BG collection
  • Making market penetration and target achievement as per given standards
