Shift: Night Shift – US Corporation
Working hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM Nepal Time Zone
Working Days: Monday to Friday

About Role:

We are a U.S.-based tech company with operational support from our back-office team in Nepal. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Nepal office. This role involves working closely with our U.S. finance team to support day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate records, and ensure smooth financial operations across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Support & Documentation:

Maintain and organize supporting documents for all daily transactions such as checks, invoices, receipts, and reimbursements.
Ensure all financial documentation is securely stored and easily accessible in an online system.

Banking & Payments:

Download and reconcile bank statements with internal records.
Match each transaction with verified documentation.
Make timely payments for recurring expenses via credit cards, debit cards, ACH, or other approved methods.
Process verified employee reimbursements accurately and efficiently.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:

Monitor, track, and update accounts payable and receivable records regularly.
Ensure accurate and timely billing and payment cycles.
Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with vendors or internal departments.

Vendor Communication & Support:

Professionally communicate with vendors via email and phone to confirm payments, clarify invoice details, and resolve issues.
Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and service providers.

Software & Record Maintenance:

Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) for transaction entry and reconciliation.
Maintain updated employee records and financial documentation in a secure online environment.
Use Microsoft Excel for creating and managing reports, logs, and tracking sheets.

Reporting & Coordination:

Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to the Finance Manager.
Coordinate with internal teams for documentation or clarification on transactions.
Ensure timely completion of accounting tasks and compliance requirements.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role
Strong command of English (both written and spoken) is required
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer applications
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software (preferred)
Knowledge of U.S. accounting principles or willingness to learn (preferred)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, cross-functional team
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the organization
Must be comfortable working night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM NST), Monday to Friday
