Background:
The Asia Foundation Nepal, in partnership with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), is implementing the Subnational Governance Program (SNGP) in Nepal. The SNGP aims to create an enabling environment for a stable, effective, and inclusive sub-national government in Nepal that addresses health and economic security of all, including women, people with disability, and marginalized groups
Gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) are key cross-cutting themes integrated into all aspects of the program. SNGP has developed targeted initiatives to promote GEDSI mainstreaming in local governance, and one such initiative is the support and mentorship of elected women representatives. The program aims to promote women's leadership by providing mentorship and coaching to elected women representatives
To facilitate this mentorship and coaching process, SNGP has supported the development of a training manual This manual will provide the necessary guidance and resources for conducting need-based training and mentorship programs for elected women representatives. For this purpose, SNGP is seeking professional support to review the training manual and contribute to the innovation and improvement of its content
As a consultant, your main responsibilities will include reviewing the content of the training manual, identifying areas for improvement, and working closely with the program team to revise and enhance the manual's content Your expertise in gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion will be crucial in ensuring that the manual effectively addresses the needs and challenges faced by elected women representatives in Nepal
