Roles and responsibilities of this job

Position: Research/MEL Associate – 1 position
Type: Entry Level Full-time (6 months with possible extension)
Location: Kathmandu with frequent travel to the field

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring and evaluating the projects being implemented by FDM.
Assist in the planning/finalizing of evaluation approach for projects.
Visit the field to undertake Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
Draft evaluation reports with support from Team Leader and Sectoral Experts.
Ensure quality of the projects led under the supervision of the Team Leader.

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelors in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Sociology, Gender, and Development Studies or Public Policy.
A minimum of one year of experience having worked in research or M&E projects.
Ability to design sampling approach, analyze and interpret statistical data as well as draft reports.
Good command over analytical software including SPSS/Excel.
