Roles and responsibilities of this job

RIMC is seeking a qualified and experienced Research Officer to support the research and program implementation department. The roles and responsibilities of the position are as follows but not limited to:

Job Description

Support the program/research coordinator in proposal writing, report writing, coordinating with the stakeholders,
Assist the research/program coordinator in identifying relevant research opportunities, and reviewing the opportunity requirements
Develop and maintain different database and documentations as per requirement under the supervision of research/program coordinator
Provide support in developing new concepts, developing project notes for the organization's objectives and potential research projects
Support the implementation of the research projects through data collection, review and analysis as per project’s requirement
Support/assist the Managing Director to communicate and maintain relationships with donors, government agencies

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred Master Degree) in Sociology/Development Studies/Public policy/Economics/Social Work.
Minimum 2-3 years experiences. (Freshers are also encouraged to apply if they have excellent writing skills)
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Strong command in English and Nepali both writing and speaking and translating.
Should be a team player and exhibit professional skills fitting to the organization’s policy and work culture.
Ability to handle multiple projects while working under pressure.
Willingness to travel to remote areas if required.
