Responsibilities

Research Proposal Writing: 

• Develop a comprehensive research proposal aligned with RFP/RFI, including a detailed literature review/analysis to understand the current scenario
• Actively identify new research opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for proposal development.

Research Design and Management:

• Design and manage qualitative and quantitative research projects and write inception reports
• Develop comprehensive research methodologies and strategies tailored to project/client needs.
• Develop data collection tools such as survey questionnaires, interview guides, and observation checklists to address key research questions. 
• Knre adherence to ethical standards and practices in all research activities.
• Delivowledgeable on various monitoring and evaluation techniques
• Ensuer training on research methodologies, tools, and techniques to field staff.

Data Analysis and Report Writing 

• Write detailed and clear research reports
• Interpret and analyse data to provide insightful conclusions and recommendations.
• Document research processes and maintain organized records of all research activities.
• Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations of research findings.
• Communicate research outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Represent the organization at meetings related to research activities.
• Support peer publication, where necessary

Qualifications

• Preferably a Ph.D. degree or Master's in Social Science or other related subjects. Knowledge about Business Management is an added advantage.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Nepali.
• Proven 5+ years of experience in designing and managing qualitative and quantitative research projects.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Experience in delivering research training and building research capacity.
• Knowledge of conducting social and market research.
• Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis using Stata, SPSS or similar software or qualitative analysis software such as Atlas-ti
