Qualification and Competency

  • Master’s Level (MPH Preferred)
  • High quality communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness and fitness to travel remote areas
  • Good command over digital data collection tool 
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
  • High quality communication and coordination skills, both written and verbal
  • Good command of basic data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, R, Stata, CS Pro etc.)

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop research protocol, seek ethical approval, carrying out quantitative data analysis of existing secondary data sets and primary quantitative data, using data analysis tools.
  • Translating scientific articles from reports and publications.
  • Organizing, designing, and carrying out qualitative research and fieldwork
  • Conducting qualitative analysis of data conducted through interviews, focus groups, In depth interview, Key informants’ interview, observations, ethnography, Ground theory etc.
  • Carrying out desktop research, using a range of methods and sources of data, related to eye hospitals.
  • Working closely with others as part of a team and with external stakeholders to manage relationships and deliver work.
  • Producing high quality and varied research outputs for a range of audiences including analysis, report writing and presentations where necessary.
  • Making sure our work is participatory, including working with peer researchers and valuing the importance of communicating with different audiences.
  • Organize the training sessions on research methodology and data analysis.      
  • Provide handholding support to the researchers working with NNJS eye hospitals.
  • Provide support to the Institutional Review Committee (IRC) of NNJS.
