Qualification:

Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science and Information Technology, Computer Applications or related field of study
Experience in relevant field.

General Description of Responsibilities

Research Associate (RA) – Information Technology is the position to contribute to the IT department of NDRI that includes the technical lead to IT related daily trouble shooting and innovation being undertaken by institution. The RA will be working directly under Senior Research Associate (IT) and report to the Executive Director of NDRI, and deliver quality outputs. The main roles and responsibilities will be contributing to project development and execution, publication, coordination, and enhancing external relations.

The specific tasks to be performed are as follows:

Technology lead to IT related daily trouble shooting of NDRI
Facilitate NDRI faculties and staff in IT infrastructure and related matters.
Lead in Graphic designing part of various NDRI knowledge and promotion products
Proficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator, and sound knowledge of design and layout concepts, strategies, tools.
Contribute to NDRI Database Management System (NDMS)
Writing complex and optimized SQL queries, MS SQL, working with multiple relational databases (in particular Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Contribute to proposal and project development related to Information Technology.
Digitizing survey questionnaire tools in CAPI, CATI and CAWI based methodologies and achieve data in desirable analytic formats.
Support NDRI Management for institutional capacity building for Quality Control and Quality assurance designing appropriate data repository systems and regular monitoring and compliance.
Play instrumental role in collaborative research/training and national/international events related to IT and Artificial Intelligence.
Manage client relationship with IT service providers.
Provide support in ensuring data privacy and security, and data confidentiality.
Be updated with latest technologies and innovations in IT and orient NDRI faculties and staff as needed.
Perform other relevant tasks, as assigned by the Senior Research Associate and Executive Director.
