Future Generation Nepal (FGN) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to combat child trafficking and protect children from exploitation. FGN’s current program focuses on supporting the Government of Nepal in implementing national Child Protection Policies, particularly the Deinstitutionalization of children from abusive institutions. Our key project components include assisting GoN with rescue operations, reintegration of children with families, trafficking prevention, higher education scholarship, youth empowerment, and advocating and promoting quality family-based care for children in Nepal. An exciting opportunity exists for an assistant to work on the project: ‘Young Lives in Alternative Care: Examining the role of deinstitutionalising care in response to orphanage trafficking in Nepal’. This project is funded by British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grants, project grant awarded to Senior Lecturer Dr Shovita Dhakal Adhikari (PI) at London Metropolitan University, UK.
