Established in 2004, NDRI comprises of an interdisciplinary team of experts with highest academic standings, and wealth of national and international experiences. NDRI focuses on creating opportunities for research, dialogue and collaboration.

In order to assist in an ongoing project being conducted in collaboration with IDRC entitled “Promoting Innovation and Inclusion in Growth Potential Enterprise: Evidence from Nepal”, among others, NDRI invites application from relevant individuals for the position of Research Assistant.

Research Assistant is the position working under the Research Associates (RA), Senior Research Associates (SRA), Project Manager, Principal Investigator, Thematic Lead(s), and Executive Director (ED) of “Promoting Innovation and Inclusion in Growth Potential Enterprise: Evidence from Nepal”. You will be directly reporting to your immediate supervisor i.e. Research Associate, and the Project Manager.

The place of assignment will be NDRI Office, Lalitpur, Nepal with some travel in project sites if needed. The specific tasks to be performed are as follows:

  • Support Project Team in the ongoing project funded by IDRC entitled “Promoting Innovation and Inclusion in Growth Potential Enterprise: Evidence from Nepal”, particularly for coordination with stakeholders, communication, and documentation.
  • Communication with various stakeholders and beneficiaries.
  • Attending Meeting, Minuting and coordinating for the meeting internally as well as externally.
  • Contribute in planning and execution of the assigned projects, as per requirement by the project.
  • Ensure that research activities meet the quality standard of NDRI and ethical considerations are followed during research activities.
  • Contribute in the field activities, as needed, including conducting quantitative and qualitative surveys, meetings with stakeholders and clients, and coordinating at multiple levels for smooth execution of field activities.
  • Provide support in the event management of the organization, as required.
  • Contribute to writing research paper, journal paper, articles, conference papers, and other publications as well as presentations.
  • Perform tasks assigned by RA, Project Manager, Principal Investigator, Thematic Lead(s) and Executive Director.

Required Qualification and Experience

  • EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, or relevant discipline.
  • KNOWLEDGE : Strong knowledge of Management and Administration
  • Excellent writing skills in English and Nepali with excellent typing skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills in both Nepali as well as English.
