Job Description

The coordinator is responsible for the management of all regular maintenance activities in the organizational facilities including security, maintenance of mechanical and electrical services, life safety systems and other additional services to reduce the occurrence of workplace accidents. The coordinator will conduct maintenance and repair work on these assets, as well to keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and overseeing maintenance efforts across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Facility Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained SOH, SIS, SVTC and SRP.
  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate space planning and facility usage to optimize the organization’s operational efficiency
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring quality and timely service delivery.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support their facility-related needs.

Maintenance and Repairs

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and areas for improvement.
  • Perform and supervise routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, solar etc.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedule to ensure the longevity of facility equipment and systems.
  • Manage emergency maintenance and repair issues promptly to minimize disruption.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for large-scale repairs and renovations.

Safety and Compliance

  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, addressing any identified hazards.
  • Maintain record of safety inspections, maintenance activities, and compliance documentation.
  • Implement and oversee emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.

Budget and Inventory Management, Procurement

  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Track and control inventory of maintenance supplies, tools and equipment.
  • Procure necessary supplies and services while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances and expenditures.
  • Procure the necessary items as per the need basis.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, or related filed preferred.
  • Proven experience in facility management, building maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, if solar system knowledge is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer application.
  • Previous experience managing facilities in a residential or childcare homes.

Experience: 2 to 3 years relevant experience preferred
Salary and Benefits: Based on the experience and qualification or as per the organization rule.
