Job Description

Geo 3D Modelling is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Remote Sensing Analyst/Developer to support NV5 Geospatial portfolio of services, solutions, and software products across the commercial and defence communities. The Analyst is also expected to work with Global and Industry Geospatial Leader(s) in Australia to develop demonstration materials and provide support to NV5 Geospatial family of products such as ENVI, IDL and the ENVI Ecosystem . The successful candidate is expected to have a strong background in Geospatial technology applied to Remote Sensing solutions using ENVI, IDL and its Add-on modules.

This position will be based in Kathmandu and reports to the Managing Director of Geo 3D Modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Remote Sensing Analysis: Conduct advanced analyses using ENVI, IDL, and associated add-on modules, focusing on image processing, classification, and feature extraction.
Software Development: Create and optimize custom scripts and algorithms within the ENVI/IDL environments to enhance functionality and processing efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with Geospatial Leaders to gather user requirements and translate them into technical specifications for product enhancements.
Demonstration Materials: Develop engaging materials that showcase the capabilities and applications of NV5 Geospatial products to internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Support: Provide training and technical assistance to clients and team members to ensure effective utilization of geospatial software and tools.
Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high-quality standards.
Industry Research: Stay updated on advancements in remote sensing technologies and geospatial applications to incorporate innovative solutions.
