Position Name: Regional Manager
Position Overview
- The Regional Manager is responsible for leading and managing overall operations of a group of restaurants in an assigned geographic region to achieve business goals and maximise profitability. He/she shall be responsible for the recruitment and training of managers for each facility within the region. He/she should be able to perform efficiently in a high-pressure environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Roles and Responsibilities
General Management
- Supervise the implementation of best practices and provide training and mentoring. Manage the restaurant as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures and Federal, state, and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
- Provide visible leadership to management and employees while encouraging a restaurant atmosphere focused on great hospitality.
- Work within existing policies and procedures to ensure goals are achieved relating to revenue and growth.
- Implement company programs and manage the operations as required to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and government regulations to ensure an optimal level of service, quality and hospitality are provided to the guests.
- Prospect, develop and strengthen relationships with local food partners and businesses to keep HomeGrown connected to the best more relevant partners in the market.
Sales and Marketing
- Overseeing the marketing efforts of the restaurant, including developing seasonal promotions and events that will attract new customers
- Reviewing customer feedback to identify areas for improvement or positive aspects that should be emphasized in future promotions
- Create, recommend, and implement promotions, displays, food presentations and ideas to bring in more guests and gain a larger share of the local market.
- Collaborate with the marketing team for the planning of large events. Quality Management and Assurance
- Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of all areas of the restaurant and equipment to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.
- Ensure that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed.
- Identify opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programs.
Risk Analysis and Safety Protocols
- Ensure that restaurant hygiene and health and safety standards are achieved and maintained in line with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
- Collate and analyze data, putting together restaurant reports for the senior management.
Relationship Management
- Recruit, select, and develop restaurant leaders and managers in the market.
- Coach, provide feedback, and develop a healthy culture and performance amongst the leaders and teams
- Grow a talent pipeline for future internal promotion in the market.
- Conduct performance evaluations on a timely basis; recommend promotions or corrective actions when appropriate and ensure that general managers are doing the same.
- Assess and improve the performance of restaurant leaders and restaurants in the market against cultural, operational, and financial goals and objectives Finance
- Forecast, implement, monitor, control, and report on the budgets and their components (labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc.) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide top-quality customer service.
- Compile and review the restaurant’s financial records to ensure that it is complying with all laws and regulations related to taxes and other financial obligations Reporting
- Generate a weekly report of achievements, setbacks, and action plans over the month's priority and targeted account.
- Reporting on a regular basis to the International General Manager.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
