USAID Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) project is an adolescent co-led initiative to empower girls and boys, 10-19 years including the most marginalized, to attain their adolescent reproductive health (ARH) rights. The goal of the program is to support adolescents to reach their full potential by; ensuring they receive correct and appropriate reproductive health (RH) information and guidance to decision-making skills, creating an environment conductive in making healthy reproductive health decisions and facilitating translation of these decisions into healthy behaviors.

Job Description

Regional Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating CARE’s response to funding opportunities with the US Government (USG) and other institutional donors (such as World Bank). This position will report to the International Funding and Strategy (IFS) Director, and work closely with CARE’s Regional Management Unit (RMU) and the Country Offices (COs) to help develop and manage relationships with USG and other institutional donors.

S/he will be responsible to highlight CARE's work to build our brand, shape donor perceptions, and pre-position CARE for bidding on high-priority opportunities. S/he will coordinate preparation, development and submission of technical and cost proposals, ensuring proposal quality, responsiveness, and compliance with donor and CARE requirements. S/he will also support in building capacity of country office personnel on donor regulations, and promoting consistent adherence to best practices in resource mobilization.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in International development, political science, or other related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in developing proposals for US Government and other institutional donors.

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of US Government proposal requirements
Demonstrated writing skills with an emphasis on clear, persuasive language, and strong editing skills
Ability to negotiate effectively with international and local partners, including teaming agreements
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong understanding of the underlying causes of poverty in Asia and the barriers to gender equality
Ability to work productively and accurately while under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively manage a variety of relationships in a multicultural environment
Fluency in English
