Urja Developers Pvt. Ltd. (Urja), is the rising brand in the Nepal power sector. These projects are in various phases of development: some are in study phase, some in construction stages. Such competence takes off from the identification of a potential hydropower site to operation and generation optimization of the well-built facilities.

Urja maintains the best working relations with the government agencies and Nepal Electricity Authority. It also has best relations with the best consulting firms, and the top-notch hydro professional in the country as well with the international firms for outsourcing the works of large volume.

Job Description

Quantity Surveyor shall be responsible for understanding, quantifying, budgeting and managing the costs of the construction project. S/he shall be responsible for quantity estimation and rate analysis as per the approved drawings of the project. S/he shall forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project, track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly. S/he shall also quantify and value the work done on site on a regular basis and ensure continual liaison with the contractors, consultants and site & head office personnel. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Intermediate level Diploma in Civil Engineering. Preferably Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Work experience of over 5 years' as Quantity Surveyor for Diploma Level and 2 years' as Quantity Surveyor for Bachelor's Degree
  • Willing to work at the hydropower project site on full time basis
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and Ms Excel
  • Knowledge in analysis of Survey Data shall be an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
