We are seeking a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to join our growing engineering team and ensure the quality, reliability, security, and performance of cloud-native and AI-enabled applications. As a QA Automation Engineer (SDET), you will design and implement automated testing strategies across web applications, APIs, cloud services, and AI-powered solutions. You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps engineers, data/AI teams, and product stakeholders to build quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle. This role requires a strong software engineering mindset, automation expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences in modern cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and test suites.
Develop automated tests for web applications, APIs, backend services, and cloud-native systems.
Execute and maintain functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing.
Validate frontend applications developed using Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Test backend services and APIs built using Python frameworks such as Django and Flask.
Create automated test scripts using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
Ensure quality standards are embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
AI Application Testing
Develop testing strategies for AI-enabled and generative AI applications.
Validate AI application outputs for accuracy, consistency, reliability, safety, and user experience.
Design test cases for prompt-based workflows, AI-powered chatbots, document processing systems, and intelligent automation solutions.
Assist in identifying model behavior issues, hallucinations, edge cases, and performance limitations.
Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to improve testing methodologies for machine learning and generative AI systems.
Utilize AI-assisted testing tools to improve automation coverage, test generation, and defect analysis.
API, Cloud & DevOps Quality Assurance
Perform API testing using Postman, Insomnia, REST Assured, or similar tools.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
Validate deployments and releases within AWS cloud environments.
Support testing of cloud-native, serverless, and microservices-based applications.
Work closely with DevOps teams to establish automated quality gates and release validation processes.
Defect Analysis & Collaboration
Analyze browser console logs, network traces, application logs, and server-side tracebacks to identify root causes of issues.
Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and cloud engineers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET).
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
Experience testing Python-based backend applications (Django, Flask) and modern web applications (Vue.js, Nuxt.js).
Languages Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows, API testing/automation, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services and deployment environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
