Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing processes.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
Execute both manual and automated tests to ensure product quality, identifying bugs and areas for improvement.
Log and track defects using our issue-tracking system, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system behavior under various conditions.
Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and defects for future reference.
Participate in the review of development processes and advocate for quality improvements and best practices.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, to ensure alignment on quality objectives.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Experience in functional, regression, integration, and UI testing.
Ability to create and execute test cases and test plans.
Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
Strong ability to log, track, and retest defects.
Familiarity with test management tools.
Ability to manage testing workflows, generate reports, and track test progress.
Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, etc.
Experience in validating REST and SOAP APIs
Experience with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to test performance under load.
Ability to identify performance bottlenecks.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and integration of tests CI tools like Jenkins, and Travis CI.
Ability to write SQL queries for database validation and data integrity checks.
Basic understanding of security testing principles (optional but preferred).
Experience in testing mobile applications (Android, iOS) would be a plus.
