Roles and responsibilities of this job

Aama Cure is seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer (Maternal & Child Care) to support the development and implementation of maternal and child health programs. The position focuses on improving access to reliable health information, supporting digital health services, and coordinating with healthcare partners to enhance maternal and child healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement maternal and child health programs and initiatives.
Develop and review health education content on pregnancy, newborn care, child nutrition, and reproductive health.
Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, health professionals, and partners for maternal and child health services.
Support the development of digital health services and platforms for maternal care.
Conduct health research and needs assessments on maternal and child health issues.
Provide technical guidance on public health standards and best practices.
Assist in designing awareness campaigns, training programs, and educational initiatives for mothers and families.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of maternal and child health programs.
Prepare reports, documentation, and program updates for management and stakeholders.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health (BPH) or related field.
Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Maternal and Child Health is an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience in public health programs, preferably in maternal and child health.
Experience working with hospitals, health sector organizations, or digital health platforms is preferred.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of maternal and child healthcare practices.
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to develop health education materials and awareness programs.
Experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluating health programs.
Basic understanding of digital health platforms and healthcare innovation.
Ability to work collaboratively with health professionals, communities, and partners.
