Together with the Government of Nepal (GoN), civil society, and the private sector, FHI 360 works collaboratively in the areas of HIV, family planning (FP)/reproductive health (RH), health security, antimicrobial resistance, nutrition, COVID-19 response, procurement, and supply chain management, local capacity strengthening, civil society and media strengthening, governance reform and the environment and climate change.

Psychosocial Counseling

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with implementing partners (IPs) and prepare psychosocial counseling sessions plan in consultation with technical monitor and Provincial Coordinators.
Conduct onsite/virtual sessions of psychosocial counselling to IP’s staff as per the approved plan.
To conduct individual or group psychosocial counselling session to IP staff.
Observe psychosocial sessions conducted by Case Managers and provide onsite feedback for further improvement in providing psychosocial counseling.
Support in psychosocial assessment conducted by EpiC Nepal.
Facilitate psychosocial counseling sessions in training.
Conduct continuous medical education (CME) on selected mental health and psychosocial counseling topics to IP staff.
Provide distant psychosocial counseling support to beneficiaries if required.
Coordinate with the psychiatrists at the provincial level as per need.
Prepare report of the conducted psychosocial counselling session, monitoring of counseling and share with the technical monitor.
Carry on other relevant activities assigned by the technical monitor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree relevant subject with at least six months of accredited psychosocial counseling training
Prior work experience in the field of psychosocial counseling. Experience working with vulnerable and marginalized population will be preferred
Excellent communication, social, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
