KOSHISH is a right-based organization working extensively in advocacy in and multi-disciplinary and holistic mental health and psychosocial support in Nepal. In addition, KOSHISH is also working in system strengthening and creating a model that the government and other stakeholders may able to replicate.

  • The applicant should have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and have relevant training
  • At least 2 years proven experience of providing Psychosocial Counseling, empathetic communication, familiarity with the psychosocial model of counseling and monitor and follow up of the persons who received counseling
  • Prior knowledge and expertise in training development and facilitation
  • Ability to work in a team and use own initiative
  • Good documentation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Extremely flexible, and can cope with stressful workloads and frustration
  • Preferences will be given to the candidates having experience in community based mental health projects

Job Description

  • Produce  and submit the monthly, quarterly reports, maintain database of beneficiaries, write up human interest stories/case stories
  • Develop and facilitate training and orientation program for health professionals and community stakeholders
  • Develop the plan and provide the psycho-social counselling to needy beneficiaries 
  • Monitoring and follow up of the people living with mental health and psycho-social condition
  • Capacity building of project team for development and facilitation of community orientation and sensitization programs, reporting, documentation, and social mobilization
  • Support and supervise health facilities, municipalities to establish and conduct mental health and psycho-social support program
  • Develop strong networking and collaboration with stakeholders of the project
  • Ensure proper documentation of the intervention
  • Represent KOSHISH and project in various community and forums
  • Any other task assigned by the organization relevant with the job
