Fightback provides safety training to women and girls at scale to reduce the risk of violence and harassment. Fightback trains women and girls to assert themselves using their full vocal strength, body language, mental attitude and physical power. It also engages men, boys, parents and teachers to create a safer society. It has trained 30,000+ women and girls and 20,000+ stakeholders since 2013 across 30+ districts in Nepal. 

Fightback has begun to successfully deliver its service through an online mode in response to the COVID pandemic. Fightback’s e-learning platform recently won the United Nation’s STI Forum Call for Innovations Catalysed by COVID-19 for SDG Impact (2021). 

Fightback has envision’s to undertake project “HAVEN’’(Harassment And Violence Elimination Network). Project Haven which will first entail providing refresher training to previous schools in 3 districts Kathmandu, Jhapa and Morang and a few schools in another district in Pokhara. In addition to this, women from refugee communities and individual with disabilities will be provided training. After the training, girls, boys, teachers and women from refugee communities will be selected and provided Fightback Training of Trainer (TOT) training. After which they will be able to reach wider audience of their communities. This will enable the community to be more safer.

The propagation of knowledge and skills will be as follows: 

  • Girls will teach girls
  • Boys will teach boys 
  • Teachers will teach parents 
  • Women will teach women

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project coordination, preferably in education, youth development, or digital learning programs.
  • Experience working with local governments, NGOs, or international organizations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong coordination and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Nepali and English.
  • Experience with monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Basic understanding of digital learning platforms and technology.
  • Ability to problem-solve and provide support at the field level.
  • Strong ability to work independently while ensuring team collaboration.

Job Description

Project: Digital Rupantaran Learning Program
Implementing Organization: Fightback Nepal

Reports to: Project Manager, Fightback Nepal
Expected Start Date: March 2025

1. Background

The Digital Rupantaran Learning Program is a collaboration between Fightback Nepal and UNICEF to scale up the Rupantaran digital learning initiative, reaching 50,000 adolescents across Nepal. The program focuses on key thematic areas such as child rights, financial literacy, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), sexual reproductive health, gender and social inclusion, nutrition, climate change, and mental health & psychosocial support (MHPSS).

To ensure the successful implementation of the program at the provincial level, Fightback Nepal seeks to hire a Provincial Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the rollout of the program, coordinating with local government, and ensuring effective participation of adolescents and stakeholders.

2. Objectives of the Role

The Provincial Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation of the Rupantaran digital learning program at the provincial level, reaching an estimated 12,500 adolescents per province.
  • Ensuring effective coordination between local government bodies, UNICEF child protection partners, schools, and community-based organizations.
  • Managing the monitoring, reporting, and issue resolution related to the implementation of digital learning.
  • Supporting the capacity building of local governments to sustain the initiative beyond the project timeline.
  • Ensuring smooth helpdesk support and ticket escalation for technical and programmatic challenges.

3. Key Responsibilities

3.1 Program Implementation & Coordination

  • Oversee the rollout and adoption of digital Rupantaran in schools and learning hubs within the province and reach an estimated 12,500 adolescents per province.
  • Coordinate with local governments, UNICEF partners, schools, and adolescent groups to ensure effective implementation.
  • Identify and mitigate challenges in digital accessibility, training gaps, and participation levels.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of learning materials and digital tools among participants.

3.2 Monitoring & Reporting

  • Regularly track and report the number of adolescents reached and engaged in the program.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data to assess program impact.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for submission to Fightback Nepal’s central team.
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest corrective measures.

3.3 Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Fightback Nepal, UNICEF, UNICEF partners, local governments, schools, and adolescent groups.
  • Work closely with municipalities and provincial stakeholders to ensure sustainability.
  • Conduct advocacy meetings and awareness sessions on the importance of the Rupantaran program.

3.4 Technical & Helpdesk Support

  • Ensure smooth operation of the helpdesk system, responding to queries and concerns from users.
  • Escalate technical issues to the relevant teams for resolution.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support for users struggling with digital access.

3.5 Capacity Building & Training

  • Conduct training sessions for UNICEF partners 
  • Organize and facilitate orientation sessions for local facilitators, teachers, and government officials.
  • Support knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure program sustainability at the provincial level.

4. Deliverables

  • Monthly progress reports on implementation status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Attendance records and engagement data of adolescents, teachers, and local stakeholders.
  • Incident reports for any technical, operational, or programmatic challenges.
  • Documentation of meetings and coordination efforts with government and partner agencies.
