We are looking for someone who has an interest in solving youth umemployment, socio economic disparities by creating attractive skills for underprivileged youths. The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing the Skills for Employability and Entrepreneurship Project, aimed at improving the employability and entrepreneurial capacity of youth, especially those from rural and marginalized communities. The project has two tracks: one focuses on improving apprenticeship opportunities for high school students by connecting them to workplaces, companies and entrepreneurial environment.The second track focuses on offering vocational skills to improve their skills to access better jobs or start their dream company or products. So, we need a colleague who has zeal and skills to take this project to a next level.

The Project Officer will work closely with rural schools, local governments, vocational training providers, private sector companies, financial institutions, and community stakeholders to facilitate skills development, employment opportunities, and sustainable entrepreneurship.

Duty station: Gokarneswor, Kathmandu with travel to project districts in Koshi and Bagmati region.

Contract Duration : 1 year with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Implementation

Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans aligned with project objectives.
Ensure quality delivery of project interventions in targeted municipalities and schools.
Coordinate project activities with local governments and schools
Prepare implementation schedules and activity reports.
Work with private sectors to involve in the project
Develop and implement innovative solutions to link the project beneficiaries to market.
Identify market- driven vocational training opportunities.
Coordinate with accredited training providers and authorities such as CTEVT to increase the impact of the project.
Develop partnerships with private companies, industries, business associations, and employers.
Support youth interested in self-employment and enterprise development.
Link entrepreneurs with Government entrepreneurship programs, Incubation and mentoring services
Establish partnerships with Nepali companies for Employment opportunities, Internship placements, corporate mentorship, technical expertise and Market expansion.
Coordinate with Local Governments, Schools, TVET Institutions, CTEVT-affiliated training providers, Private Companies

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration OR Management ( Masters Preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in youth employability, entrepreneurship, vocational education, TVET, or livelihood projects.
Experience in private sector engagement and job placement.
Strong coordination, project management, communication, and monitoring skills.

It is reaching out to the most vulnerable and deprived children and ensure that they have access to fundamental rights to education, health and protection services.
