We are looking for someone who has an interest in solving youth umemployment, socio economic disparities by creating attractive skills for underprivileged youths. The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing the Skills for Employability and Entrepreneurship Project, aimed at improving the employability and entrepreneurial capacity of youth, especially those from rural and marginalized communities. The project has two tracks: one focuses on improving apprenticeship opportunities for high school students by connecting them to workplaces, companies and entrepreneurial environment.The second track focuses on offering vocational skills to improve their skills to access better jobs or start their dream company or products. So, we need a colleague who has zeal and skills to take this project to a next level.
The Project Officer will work closely with rural schools, local governments, vocational training providers, private sector companies, financial institutions, and community stakeholders to facilitate skills development, employment opportunities, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Duty station: Gokarneswor, Kathmandu with travel to project districts in Koshi and Bagmati region.
Contract Duration : 1 year with possibility of extension.
