Duty Station: Koshi Tappu, Sunsari
Appointment Type: Full Time for two years and nine months on an annual contract basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key role of the incumbent will be to assist in implementing the project “Sustainable management of wetlands and grasslands: enhancing biodiversity and livelihoods” in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KTWR) and its buffer zone.

Required skills and Experience

Education

For Project Officer: Master’s degree in Forestry, Environment, Natural Resource Management or any other relevant subject.
For Project Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Forestry, Environment, Natural Resource Management, or any other relevant subject.

Experience

For Project Officer: Minimum three years of relevant working experience in project implementation in conservation/livelihood support projects.
For Project Assistant: Minimum two years of relevant working experience in project implementation in conservation/livelihood support projects.
Experience in networking and relationship building.
Knowledge and experience in project and networking management, design, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing.
Proven skills in community mobilization and training.
Strong communication skills.

Computer skills

MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and online platforms (i.e Zoom, skype, and other standard software).

Salary and Benefits: As per the organization's norm commensurate with the project agreement.
