Relief Nepal is a non-profit making, non-governmental, non-political, social development organization of Sindhuli district. It was established in 2008 AD with the core objective of vulnerable and marginalized people especially women, children, youth and people living with marginalized condition are empowerment and participated in decision process about the issue affecting their livelihood. It has successfully implemented Livelihood, Child Rights, WASH, Education and DRR projects in five districts.In partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), Relief Nepal is implementing Tinpatan-Phikkal; Covid-19 Recovery Project (TPCRP) in Tinpatan Ward no. 7, 8, 10, 11 and Phikkal Rural Municipality Ward no. 2, 3, 4, 5 of Sindhuli districts.
We are looking for a qualified, competent, dynamic, Leadership and visionary qualitative candidates for the effective execution of the project at field which will be carried out in partnership with World Vision International Nepal for the following position:
Position Description:
The purpose of this position is to lead on and providing good project management, technical input the area of livelihood-economic recovery through successful execution of Tinpatan-Phikkal COVID- 19 Recovery Project (TPCRP) in Sindhuli. The position is responsible for the project management, developing and delivering a comprehensive quarterly and annual technical support plan for the project. The role is responsible for providing technical inputs and guiding team for quality and timely deliverables of all planned interventions including monitoring and maintaining quality results of the project, preparation of periodic reports, sectoral coordination in district, and rolling out all necessary technical tools, quality benchmarks and guidance materials to support quality project Implementation. The role provides support and back stopping for external relationship building and engagement with government line agencies, district level partners for successful and quality implementation of the project.
Major responsibilities
- Coordinating with local R/MU especially on livelihood/skill training/cash-based programming & project unit and other like-minded agencies to ensure the project activities is implemented according to the project guideline.
- Ensure quality intervention in field through periodic QBM
- Guide and track project progress as per agreed timeline with higher impact in field
- Draft quarterly, semi-annual and annual report to submit donor,
- Document relevant data, evidences (qualitative and quantitative) for dissemination of wider audience
- Coordinate across sectors to help ensure and track whether project is implemented according to the timeline to reach targets and minimum standards;
- Monitoring and supervision of Regular project activities.
- Appropriate monitoring tools are developed and used.
- Advocacy and interact with local leaders on resource allocation, collaboration during project execution.
- Organize idea on sectors and integrate the knowledge on life & protective skills, child rights and protection and education to support the quality implementation
- Maintain effective coordination with government stakeholder, other like-minded agencies at district level
- Provide technical support to the local government to implement, expand and sustain the project interventions and result
- Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to World Vision’s Core Values in the approach to work and relationships
- Performance review completed and personal development goal achieved;
- Update information and knowledge gathered through participation of meeting, training, workshop and exchange visit;
- Anything else requested by the line manager to support the quality of programming
Competencies:
1.Academic Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Agriculture, DRR, social sciences or any relevant discipline with at least 3 years of work experience. (Highly preferred Bachelor in Agriculture)
2.Sector Knowledge:
- Work experience in emergencies/recovery projects.
- Experience working on cash-based programming model.
- A good fluency in using digital platforms
- Skilled in MS office applications
- Knowledge on implantation of technical & vocational skill trainings.
- Good analytical skills; ability to critically analyze results data and recommend programme improvements
3.Project Management:
- Implementation skills on planned activities
- Good understanding on financial management system like supporting documents for voucher, advance settlement process.
- Good communication skills to deal with project team and stakeholders
- Demonstrated agility in COVID-19 context
4.Capacity Building
- Skills on planning and capacity building of masons.
- Good Facilitation skills
- Good Communication skills
- Team building, collaboration, facilitation and leadership skills
5.M&E
- Experience in collecting information from the community
- Knowledge to understand assessment process and findings
- Skills to do FGDs and Interview as a part of assessment/evaluation
- Good writing skills and ability to write/edit reports, case stories and success stories.
- Understanding programme logic, programme design, and programme cycle including project planning, design, monitoring, and evaluation.
6.Relationship Management:
- Adequate relationship management with the contractor for timely commencement of the project and technical quality
- Basic understanding on the importance of Networking and Liaise with Local Government
- Good meeting facilitation and documentation skills
- Presentation skills in different forum and network
7.Child and adult safe guarding and sponsorship business
- Manage all the working environment in the office and working areas are child and adult sensitive
- Guide the team and organization in managing protection related matters appropriately
- Support the organization in complying with all child and adult safe guarding policies, requirements and audits
- Manage all the sponsorship businesses as per the protocols and guidance provided by WVIN
- Registered children participation are well reflected in the provided reporting platforms
