Position: Project Manager – Resilient Livelihoods (Woman only) 
Required No.: 1 (Doti) 

The main purpose of this position is to take overall management of the Badikedar Integrated  Community Transformation (BICT) Project and to contribute to the implementation of UMN’s  cluster strategy, technical backstopping in Livelihoods and Economic Development related  issues, relationship-building and new concept development. 

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science or Development Studies or relevant discipline  with a minimum of three years of working experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in  Agricultural Science or Development Studies or relevant discipline with five years  of working experience in Integrated Project Management focused on Livelihoods,  Education, Health and Good Governance.  
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of current development and cross-cutting  issues (GESI, climate change adaptation and mitigation, disability inclusion, and  conflict sensitivity) in Nepal. 
  • Experience in advocacy, partnership in the community, networking with the local  government and service providers. 
  • Strong skill and experience in project management including participatory bottom-up  project designing, planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, documentation, learning  and developing project proposals. 
  • Familiar with up-to-date poverty eradication strategies, policies, and development  practices in Nepal and international. 
  • Cross-cultural work experience preferred. 
  • Excellent communication skills both in Nepali and English. Written English must be of  an excellent standard.
