Position: Project Manager - Health (Woman only)

Location: Rukum East Cluster, Rukumkot

The main purpose of this position is to ensure the successful implementation of the Advancing for Community Transformation Project (Pro-ACT) and contribute to UMN’s cluster strategy through effective capacity-building, relationship-building, project management, and technical expertise.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health/Psychology with three years’ experience in integrated project management with a particular focus on Health System Strengthening, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and Maternal and Child health OR a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health/Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Science with five years’ experience in Health System Strengthening, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and Maternal and Child Health
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of current health and mental health issues in Nepal
  • Strong experience in project management including planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and developing proposals
  • Experience with integrated project management including economic development and protection issues
  • Experience in participatory project designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Familiar with current poverty eradication strategies, policies, and development practices in Nepal and globally
  • Experience in managing projects through a local partner organisation
  • Skilled in coordination and networking with local and district stakeholders
  • Experience working in remote areas within a cross-cultural environment
  • Excellent communication skills in Nepali and English language, both written and verbal.
