We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Manager - Dark Store to lead the establishment, expansion, and operational management of our dark stores. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the business growth, optimizing supply chain management, and creating a seamless delivery experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, set up, and oversee the launch of new dark stores across targeted locations.
- Develop and manage end-to-end project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure the efficient daily operations of dark stores, from catalog management to order fulfillment.
- Implement and monitor operational KPIs, ensuring service quality and performance goals are met.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) in timely manner.
- Monitor customer feedbacks and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure that the available products, services and work environment meet with the health and safety standards.
- Lead all aspects of workforce management including manpower planning, scheduling/rostering, training, employee engagement to meet operational demands.
- Optimize the supply chain to ensure the timely availability of goods in dark stores, reducing lead times and stock-outs.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline sourcing and distribution.
- Analyze sales, inventory, and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for growth.
- Develop strategies to scale the dark store vertical, aligned with company objectives and market demand.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure cohesive execution of quick commerce initiatives.
- Stay updated on global and regional trends in the quick commerce industry, especially analyzing successful models.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management, retail operations, or supply chain roles, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in business analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven track record of managing and scaling projects in a high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with quick commerce, dark stores, or similar business models.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
