Job Description

Job Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for executing, and finalising projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires project management, strong written communication skills, proficiency in utilizing various tools and media for collaboration, and a solid understanding of public relations. The ideal candidate will have an academic background, a Master's degree in any relevant field, and a basic knowledge and/or understanding of business incubation and its ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

  • Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables for the Idea Studio National Idea Hunt (NIH) and College Idea Hunt (CIH) that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage project resources effectively.
  • Tracks project progress and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential project challenges.

2. Communication:

  • Help develop and deliver clear, concise, and comprehensive written communication, including project plans, reports, proposals, and presentations, and other relevant project specific communication tools.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure that it is up to date and accessible to all relevant parties.
  • Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and guiding implementing partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.

3. Public Relations:

  • Help develop and implement PR strategies to promote project objectives and outcomes.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials to promote project milestones and achievements.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders, including ideators, partners, and team members.
  • Coordinate and oversee working relationships with all local project ideators, stakeholders including country government officials and serve as the liaison between them and the project team to mobilise local actors and promote project activities and impact.

5. Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Manage project teams, ensuring that all members understand their roles and responsibilities and follow through their respective work..
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Provide coaching and support to team members as and when required.
