The ACNS (https://autismnepal.org/) is an active autism organization in Nepal led by parents of individuals with autism. It is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization registered with the District Administration Office (Registration No. 1067/2065) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC No: 25314). Since its inception on 2 April 2008, on "World Autism Awareness Day," it has been actively engaged in autism awareness programs, advocating for the rights of individuals with autism and capacity building of individuals with autism, their parents and caregivers in Nepal. The organisation provides assessment and diagnostic services, intervention programs, parent training and counselling, a special education program, vocational training for adults with autism, and capacity building for health, educational, and other paraprofessionals.

About the project:

The AutismCare Nepal Society is implementing the inclusive education project-Leave No Children Behind in Education in partnership with CBM Global Disability Inclusion in Budhanilkantha Municipality (Kathmandu) and Godawari Municipality (Lalitpur), both located in Bagmati Province of Nepal. It aims to strengthen inclusive education policies and practices by developing, piloting, and promoting accessible and replicable Inclusive Education (IE) mechanisms for children with disabilities.

ACNS is seeking to recruit Project Facilitators for the Leave No Children Behind in Education project. The Project Facilitators will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of field-level activities in either Budhanilkantha Municipality or Godawari Municipality. They will work directly with local schools, communities, and municipal education offices to promote inclusive education practices for children with disabilities.Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, Project Facilitators will carry out school support visits, community engagement activities, training and meeting coordination, field monitoring, documentation, and reporting tasks.

The position requires strong attention to detail, integrity and the ability to work closely with the Project Coordinator, Admin/Finance team and CBM Global Disability Inclusive focal person and other technical team when needed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities of Project Facilitators (Godawari and Budhanilkantha):

Field Planning and Implementation

  • Support in developing weekly/monthly field action plans.
  • Conduct regular field visits to schools, parents, municipalities and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in implementing inclusive education activities in local schools.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Build and maintain relationships with school principals, teachers, School Management
  • Committees (SMC/PTA), municipal education officers and local Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).
  • Support in organizing local-level meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation

  • Conduct regular school and community monitoring visits.
  • Collect and compile data on participants, progress, challenges, and success stories.
  • Prepare brief event reports for workshops, meetings, and other activities and submit them to the Project Coordinator.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly field progress reports.

Training and Workshop Support

  • Support in the facilitation and management of training sessions for teachers, SMC/PTA members, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct follow-up visits after trainings to ensure practical application.

Daily Communication and Problem-Solving

  • Act as the first point of contact at the municipal level for addressing project-related challenges.
  • Regularly communicate with the Project Coordinator for field-level support.

Logistics and Event Management

  • Support travel arrangements, materials preparation, and venue setup for trainings and meetings.
  • Ensure that all events are accessible and disability-inclusive.

Ethical and Inclusive Conduct

  • Ensure all field activities are conducted respectfully, inclusively, and ethically.
  • Uphold the dignity and confidentiality of children and persons with disabilities.

Support to Project Coordinator

  • Provide regular updates to the Project Coordinator on field activities, issues, and needs.
  • Assist in drafting reports, case studies, and other project documents as needed.
