Purpose: Implement the Plan Nepal CBRF Project under CCDRM of Plan International Nepal. The position oversees the CBRF Project in Morang and Sunsari PU and keeps necessary linkage with Plan Nepal Country Office, Plan International Schweiz (CHNO) and Plan Asia Regional DRM team on policy and strategic positions on the Project along with CCDRR, Climate Change and Humanitarian works. 
Terms and Location: Fixed term employment for till July 2017 based at Morang Programme Unit

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Environment, Engineering, Humanities, Social Science or equivalent studies. At least four (4) years practical experience demonstrated in Environment and Natural Resource Management, climate change adaptation, DRR, Community based adaptation and disaster preparedness. Understanding of Human Rights based and child centered approaches to DRM. Understanding of National and Global discourse on climate Change and DRR. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review periodically the project plan, budget forecast, annual plans, and quarterly plans and budgets for effective project implementation.
• Provide technical support to the Program Units and partners for program design and implementation integrating CCDRM approach into programs activities.
• Implement project activities as per the detail implementation plan, monitor them to assure their achievements both qualitatively and quantitatively within the set time and prepare periodic and progress reports on a timely basis as per the requirement.
• Prepare plans which include activities on CBRF activities, institutional set up and strengthening for DRR and climate change adaptation, preparation of DRR plans mainstreaming climate change mitigation and adaptation. 
• Design and conduct capacity building packages on CBRF, CCDRM and emergency response including disaster preparedness and refresh through simulation exercises for systematic response interventions to Plan and partners.
• Integrate Climate Change Adaptation and CCDRM interventions with other Plan interventions and operations for children, youths and families applying the Resilience Tool Kit developed by Plan International.
• Represent Plan on DRM issues at district and local levels, and liaise, negotiate, build networks and alliances and partnership with governmental, non-governmental bodies and other agencies involved in DRM.
